I am wondering what laxative you all use

I have used 2T benefiber daily with good consistent results.  My dad uses an herbal tea called Smooth Move tea. One cup to end his day and wah lah-he has his morning 'physic'!! You can find it online or at a health food store. $5+ for 16 teabags. He says it takes good.

I had a real problem with this after surgery, for a few weeks.  Colace, which is JUST a stool softener, wasn't doing the trick.  After talking with Dr. P, I tried the generic of Peri-Colace, which combines the softener with a mild stimulant laxative.  Bingo. 

I do not take it every day - probably only take it about one or twice a week at this point, just when I feel a problem developing.  Two at night seems to work quite well, producing results mid-morning the next morning. ;-)
